Raj, a fakir who’s travelled from India to France to buy a new bed of nails ends up on a journey across Europe, escaping the mafia and the police…and falling in love…all because of falling asleep in a wardrobe.

Raj, a fakir from Rajasthan, who’s taken over as head of the family from this father, travels to Paris to buy a new bed of nails.

In Paris, he goes to IKEA to test out beds and buy nails, but the jetlag of his flight from Rajasthan leads him to fall asleep in a wardrobe.

He wakes up to find other people knocking on the wardrobe and realises he is in a lorry full of refugees from Africa, when immigration officers open up the wardrobe upon stopping off a lorry in Kent.

Detained by immigration, who are convinced he is an asylum seeker, he discovers the life stories of the other occupants of the lorry and finds more in common than he first thought. They are all then flown to Barcelona as that’s where immigration think is their first entry point into Europe. There he waits in the airport and meets a family of gypsies who are going to Rome.

They ask him to look after one of their children and then they end up flying to Rome after the flight company thinking he’s part of the family. Upon arrival in Rome, the family is detained for being part of the mafia, but he manages to escape with one of their bags, having convinced the police he has nothing to do with them…
